i found out recently that the ports used for APNS is as follows.

TCP 80 for HTTP
TCP 443 for HTTPS
TCP 1640 for SCEP
TCP 5223 for APNS
TCP 2195 & 2196 for further APNS functionality

Access to 17.x.x.x for access by APNS servers.
